I recently sewed up pattern KnowME 2001 by Beaute Jadore and I am absolutely in love with this coat! I had seen this coat many times on social and finally got around to making it myself.

The process of constructing this coat was amazing. From setting in the sleeves to adding the sleeve bands, I enjoyed every minute of it! The directions were clear and concise and I would definitely sew this one up again and again!

Let’s talk fabric!
For this project I used a camel colored 100% wool that I got from Fine Fabrics in Atlanta a couple years ago. I had just enough fabric to cut out all of my pattern pieces without a scrap to spare… 😅 (no pressure…). I used my walking foot while sewing this thicker fabric to make sure everything came together smoothly.

The Lining!
In my opinion, the star of this show is the “very berry” satin lining I chose from Joann Fabrics. I started with a nude colored lining and knew it wasn’t “giving” what I needed it to give, so I switched and boy am I glad I did! The lining gave this coat the pop of color I was looking for and the pleat in the back lining is chef’s kiss good!
